Continuing a family legacy, he attended Baylor University School of Law, where he obtained his J.D. and was admitted to practice in Texas in 2012.

While at law school, Mr. Cowden honed his advocacy skills through active moot court and mock trial participation, garnering accolades like the Top Overall Speaker at the Dawson & Sodd P.C. Moot Court Competition, emerging as State Champions in the American Association for Justice Mock Trial Competition and the Strasburger & Price LLP Mock Trial Award.
