Justin Roberts is an attorney at the Roberts & Roberts Law Firm in Tyler, Texas. As the editor-in-chief of St. Mary’s Law Journal, he led a team to establish the St. Mary’s Journal on Legal Malpractice & Ethics. After gaining his licensure, he served as a briefing attorney for Justice Paul W. Green of the Texas Supreme Court.
Subsequently, Mr. Roberts worked as general counsel of the Texas House Republican Caucus during the 83rd legislative session. His vast experience in the judicial and legislative branches gives him perspective and the strategic insight necessary to navigate complex litigation for his clients.
Before joining his current firm, Mr. Roberts practiced energy and regulatory law in Austin, Texas. There, he represented electric and natural gas utilities in complex regulatory proceedings at the Public Utility Commission of Texas and the Railroad Commission of Texas. Today, his professional standing is reflected in his numerous memberships and fellowships, including the Texas Bar Foundation, the National Association of Distinguished Counsel and the Texas Bar College Honorary Society.
Beyond his litigation practice, Mr. Roberts is also a member of the Smith County Bar Association and the American Association for Justice, showcasing his dedication to ethical practice and accessible justice. His legal talent has consistently earned him peer recognition; he has been named to "Top 40 Under 40" lists by the National Trial Lawyers, the American Institute of Trial Lawyers and the American Academy of Attorneys.
