Leslie Ann Werner

Owner of The Werner Law Group, Leslie Ann Werner is dedicated to helping individuals and families with child custody, adoptions, divorce, estate planning and probate, wills, trusts, immigration, as well as Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcies across Victoria, South Texas. Her staunch opposition to cases that she feels do not reflect justice is evident in her work. Having owned a small business herself, she assists clients who need help with startups, attaining licenses or litigating disputes.

Having begun her legal career as a paralegal in Houston, Ms. Werner progressed to become a research attorney for the First Court of Appeals and a staff attorney for Justice Nelda Rodriguez at the 13th Court of Appeals. During her tenure at the First Court of Appeals, she collaborated closely with Justice Michol O'Connor, Chief Justice Frank Evans and his successor, Chief Justice Alice Oliver-Parrott.

Ms. Werner attended the University of Detroit Mercy, where she received her bachelor’s degree. Later, following the completion of her master’s in business administration at the university, she moved to Texas in pursuit of the American dream. In 1984, she obtained her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center with an enduring aspiration of becoming a lawyer. In subsequent years, she earned board certification in civil appellate law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

As an enthusiastic proponent for the education of youths, Ms. Werner is devoted both to their academic as well as cultural development. In addition to teaching business law at the University of the Incarnate Word, she taught a paralegal program at the University of Houston-Victoria. She has accommodated 42 foreign exchange students over two decades, giving her pupils a chance to experience cultures around the globe.

Ms. Werner is a debt relief agent. She helps people file for bankruptcy relief under the Bankruptcy Code.
