Mark C. Hobbs

Experienced attorney Mark C. Hobbs is a partner at the Waco law firm of Cherry Johnson Siegmund James PLLC. Since joining the firm in 2014, Mr. Hobbs has proudly assisted the residents of Waco and surrounding central Texas with their legal needs in the area of estate planning, which includes assisting clients with probate, trusts, wills, business succession planning, and wealth planning and management. In addition, he guides clients through the process of the formation of tax-exempt nonprofit organizations and assists with the operation and governance of such organizations.

Mr. Hobbs earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Abilene Christian University in 1997 and continued his education at Baylor University, where he earned a Master of Business Administration in 1998. His legal career began in 2005 after earning his Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School and his admission to the State Bar of Texas. The experience he gained in the business world before making the decision to attend law school has proved valuable to his clients as he assists them with financial and business-related matters.

Mr. Hobbs' dedication to his clients has led to him receiving a number of honors and awards, including an "Excellent" Avvo rating. However, attorney Hobbs' legal abilities and extensive knowledge in his practice areas have earned him not only recognition from his clients but also from his peers. In fact, the Texas Board of Legal Specialization recognizes him as a board-certified attorney in the area of estate planning and probate, and the Heart of Texas Estate Planning Council appointed him president in 2009.

In addition to his work in the courtroom and the boardroom, Mr. Hobbs is a valued member of the legal community. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Waco-McLennan County Bar Association.
