Mary Margaret Croft

Mary Margaret Croft is a partner at Cherry Johnson Siegmund James PLLC in Waco, Texas, where she advises clients on a broad array of transactional matters. Her practice encompasses estate planning and probate administration, commercial real estate (including purchase and sale agreements, leasing and easement negotiations), financing and loan documentation, and corporate affairs such as business formation, mergers and acquisitions, and governance. 

In addition, Ms. Croft brings deep competence in Texas’s water and electric sectors, having served as general counsel for multiple water supply corporations and electric distribution cooperatives. Celebrated by colleagues for cultivating a flawless, client-first practice, she pairs meticulous attention to detail with genuine, personalized care and an infectious passion to help each person navigate and conquer their legal hurdles.

A Midway High School alumna, Ms. Croft earned her Bachelor of Arts cum laude in English literature with a minor in Middle East studies from Baylor University in 2008. She then pursued her Juris Doctor at Texas Tech University School of Law, graduating in 2012. Shortly after passing the bar, she returned to her hometown of Waco, where she has been a devoted advocate for families and businesses ever since.

Beyond her legal practice, Ms. Croft is committed to the vitality of the Waco community. She is an active member of the Waco-McLennan County Bar Association and holds leadership roles in several sections of the State Bar of Texas – including Real Estate, Probate and Trusts, and Public Utility – as well as in the Electric Cooperative Bar Association.
