He then attended Baylor Law School, where he earned a Juris Doctor and graduated as the highest-ranking student in his graduating class.
He is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Waco-McLennan County Bar Association and a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. A previous member of the Waco-McLennan County Young Lawyers Association, Mr. James also directed Region 12 at the Central Texas High School Mock Trial Tournament for several years. He is admitted to practice in Texas and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas.
A believer in giving back to the community, Mr. James does pro bono work with many organizations, including the American Red Cross, the Waco Triathlon Club, the Greater Waco Sports Commission, Legacy Outfitters and the Harris Creek Baptist Church. Known for his work ethic and energy, Mr. James has experience handling complex litigation matters from both sides of the courtroom. During his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, coaching his kids in sports, and spending time with his wife and three children.
