Michael Butz

Tenaciously advocating for the residents of Texas for the past four years, Michael Butz is the founder and sole attorney representing clients through his firm, Butz Law Firm, PLLC, in Waxahachie. His practice area is not limited to one legal niche, but many, including environmental law, estate planning and probate matters, criminal defense and consumer law. He is also certified as a civil and family mediator by ADR Services, Inc., one of the leading organizations providing alternative dispute resolution services in the state of Texas.

Mr. Butz graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in 2009, earning his Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science. He decided to study further and pursued his legal studies at the University of North Texas Dallas College of Law and received his Juris Doctor in 2018. After graduating from law school, he was accepted into the Dallas Bar Association’s Entrepreneurs in Community Lawyering program, following which he established his firm, Butz Law Firm, PLLC, in 2020.

Before passing his bar exam and becoming an attorney, Mr. Butz worked as an officer at various organizations ensuring that environmental, health, safety and security (EHS&S) regulations are properly met. With this extensive experience and knowledge, he guides several businesses and assists them in following and abiding by the state’s EHS&S regulations.

A firm believer in legal equality, Mr. Butz fiercely advocates and fights for his clients’ rights. He has assisted and offered his service to a wide range of clientele, including small business owners, skilled laborers and general contractors.
