Casey T. Hoyer is the founder and principal attorney of Hoyer Law Firm, a leading family law practice based in Lehi, Utah. Raised in a small farming community in eastern Oregon, he learned early the values of honesty, integrity, and hard work from his neighbors and family. Those same principles now guide every aspect of his legal career and client relationships. He focuses his practice on family law matters and divorce.
In 2010, Mr. Hoyer established Hoyer Law Firm with a singular focus: to provide families in Utah with compassionate, results-oriented representation in divorce and other family law matters. Over the years, he has litigated thousands of cases, earning a reputation for meticulous preparation, vigorous courtroom advocacy, and a deep understanding of how children and families are affected by the legal process. His clients appreciate that he combines strategic insight with genuine empathy, ensuring they feel heard and supported from the first consultation to the final decree.
After completing his initial studies at Brigham Young University–Idaho, Mr. Hoyer dedicated two years to missionary service in Auckland, New Zealand, and the Cook Islands. Upon returning, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Oregon before enrolling at Willamette University College of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor in 2003. He is licensed to practice in Utah, is proficient in Spanish and holds an “Excellent” rating on Avvo.
Since passing the bar exam, Mr. Hoyer has cultivated an exceptionally broad legal skill set. He began in a general-practice firm, served as a legislative lobbyist at the state capitol and sat as an administrative law judge, presiding over complex disputes. Those varied roles honed his advocacy, negotiation and judicial decision-making abilities, while building lasting professional relationships with attorneys and judges throughout Utah.
