Amanda Bloxham

Amanda Bloxham is an attorney with Jess Couser Family Law in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she focuses her practice on family law matters. She approaches each case with an emphasis on practical solutions for immediate needs, recognizing how tense and emotionally fraught family proceedings can be. Organized and detail-oriented, she makes client education a priority, ensuring people understand options, timelines and likely outcomes as their matters progress.

Ms. Bloxham earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Massachusetts School of Law – Dartmouth in 2022 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in integrated studies, with concentrations in psychology and communication from Utah Tech University. During her final semester, she obtained a student practitioner certification issued by the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and spent substantial time in the Human Rights at Home Clinic, where she represented clients in divorce and child custody hearings. Her commitment in the clinic was recognized with the Clinical Legal Education Award from the Clinical Legal Education Association.

Ms. Bloxham approaches litigation and negotiation with an advocacy style shaped by hands-on client representation and practical courtroom experience. She is attentive to the procedural and emotional dimensions of family disputes, balancing assertive representation with efforts to limit unnecessary strain on clients. Whether working through custody schedules, settlement negotiations or temporary relief applications, she keeps clients informed and involved, focusing on achievable resolutions that reflect each family’s circumstances.

Outside the office, Ms. Bloxham is active in pro bono and community-oriented legal services. She volunteers with Rainbow Law Clinics at the Utah Pride Center and with the University of Utah Pro Bono Initiative, participates in the Utah Courts’ Pro Se Calendar supported by the Legal Aid Society of Utah and has served as a volunteer judge for the American Association for Justice Student Trial Advocacy Competition. Her pro bono contributions have been acknowledged by the Utah State Bar Pro Bono Honor Roll (2023, 2024, 2025, 2026) and she was named Attorney Volunteer of the Month by the Rainbow Law Clinic in May and September 2024.

At home, Ms. Bloxham’s interests include civil-rights advocacy – especially women’s rights, LGBTQ+ issues and reproductive justice. She is an active member in good standing of the Utah State Bar and several of its sections, and brings compassion and clear communication to every client she represents.
