Colin King

Colin P. King is a founding member of Dewsnup King Olsen Worel Havas and represents clients in Salt Lake City, Utah. With decades of trial and litigation experience behind him, he represents clients in cases of personal injury, medical malpractice and product liability. He is a member of The Inner Circle of Advocates, defined as the group of the 100 most celebrated trial lawyers in the country by The Washington Post. Widely respected by his peers, he has tried and litigated cases against oil fields, automobile dealers, coal mining equipment, and device and drug sellers and manufacturers.

After obtaining an undergraduate degree, Mr. King attended the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctor. He is a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a fellow of The International Academy of Trial Lawyers. The former president of the American Board of Trial Advocates’ Utah Chapter, he has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America for several decades in product liability and medical malpractice field.

Mr. King is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and a variety of other federal courts, along with the state courts of Colorado, Wyoming, Texas and Utah. A member of the Salt Lake County Bar Association, the American Association for Justice and the Federal Bar Association, he was also a president of the Utah Association for Justice.

One of Mr. King’s most recent verdicts involved $2.7 million in compensation for a consumer who purchased a car with a defective fuel injector and ended up with mild brain damage. Mr. King obtained Utah’s first eight-figure tort verdict.
