A trial lawyer with experience in federal and state courts, Frank J. Twarog represents clients in the greater Burlington, Vermont, area. He is focused on matters of family law, including divorce, and criminal defense, including DUI. In his career, he has combined the aggressive advocacy needed to fight for those who have been accused of committing a crime with the compassion often needed to help families through trying, tumultuous times in their lives.
Mr. Twarog is admitted to practice in the state of Vermont and before the Supreme Court of the United State and the U.S. District Court for the District of Vermont. After earning a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Vermont, he attended law school at Suffolk University Law School and earned his Juris Doctor in 2002.
A member of the National College for DUI Defense, Mr. Twarog is also actively involved in many other professional legal organizations. These include the Vermont Association for Justice, the Vermont Bar Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Chittenden County Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Advisory Criminal Rules Committee of the Vermont Supreme Court and the Vermont Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, where he is director.
A former president and current member of the Vermont Association of Criminal Justice, Mr. Twarog is also passionate about giving back to his community. He has been given the Vermont Bar Association’s Pro Bono Service Award in recognition of his volunteer work and civic engagement.
