Todd H. Kalter

Attorney Todd H. Kalter is a founder of Kalter, Kalter & Mabey in Rutland, Vermont. Mr. Kalter represents claimants in workers’ compensation matters, serving clients throughout the state of Vermont.

Mr. Kalter has focused his practice on workers’ compensation law for his entire legal career. Over the years, he has helped numerous injured workers receive fair and adequate compensation. He represents clients in all types of workers’ compensation matters including those involving amputations, back injuries, crush injuries, elbow injuries, neck injuries, shoulder injuries, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, work-related fatalities and wrist injuries.

In addition, Mr. Kalter handles third-party actions, performing a thorough review of each case to determine if a third-party claim is available. He is also experienced with structuring workers’ compensation benefits with any available Social Security Disability benefits with the goal of obtaining the maximum available benefits for his clients.

Mr. Kalter’s accomplishments have been recognized by numerous organizations. “The Best Lawyers in America” has listed him in their publication each year since 2004. In addition, he is a fellow in the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers.

Outside of running his law firm, Mr. Kalter enjoys staying active in his legal community through membership in various organizations. He is a member of the Vermont Bar Association, the Vermont Association for Justice and the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group.

Mr. Kalter earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He received his law degree from Vermont Law School and obtained his license to practice law in 1991. He is qualified to appear before all Vermont state courts.
