Colleen M. Haddow focuses primarily on family law issues. She has extensive experience in all family law fields, including divorce, spousal support, custody and parenting plans, child support, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and property division. Ms. Haddow accepts clients in Fairfax and throughout Virginia.
Ms. Haddow has a strong desire to protect the rights of her clients, especially when children are involved. She is committed to serving their best interests and developing agreeable resolutions that benefit everyone involved. Understanding that minimizing conflict is best for families during this difficult time, she strives to resolve disputes amicably whenever possible. However, she is prepared to aggressively defend her clients' rights in court, if necessary.
After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in political science in 2003 from Brigham Young University, Ms. Haddow earned her Juris Doctor in 2006 from the George Mason University School of Law. She participated in numerous trial competitions while in law school, becoming a finalist and semi-finalist in the George Mason Intramural Trial Competition in 2004 and 2005. She also served as the editor-in-chief for the George Mason University Civil Rights Law Journal and as student secretary for The George Mason American Inn of Court. Today, Ms. Haddow is admitted to practice law in the state of Virginia.
Ms. Haddow is actively involved in various bars and associations, including the Fairfax Bar Association, The Virginia Bar Association, the Virginia Women Attorneys Association and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.
