Foster S. Friedman

Providing sound and knowledgeable counsel to clients, Foster S. Friedman is an attorney at Wade Grimes Friedman Meinken & Leischner PLLC in Alexandria, Virginia. His areas of legal practice include trust and estate planning, trust and estate litigation and probate administration. He has over 30 years’ experience of law practice. 

Mr. Friedman has immense experience providing counsel to clients in regard to wealth and asset transfer from one generation to the next. He has a genuine concern for his clients’ needs and upholds their rights and liberties. He helps them during this difficult and confusing time by communicating well and keeping them informed through the whole process. 

With a major in economics, Mr. Friedman has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Washington & Lee University. He obtained his Juris Doctor from the Boston University School of Law. In addition to his law practice, Mr. Friedman is enthusiastic about giving back to others, and serves as the chair of the Alexandria Bar Foundation Beat the Odds Steering Committee. 

Mr. Friedman is licensed to practice in New York, Virginia and Massachusetts and before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. 

Actively engaged in numerous legal associations, Mr. Friedman served as former president for the Alexandria Bar Association, where he also served in its Judicial Screening Committee and as the chair of Continuing Legal Education. He is a member of the Trusts and Estates Section of the Virginia State Bar. He is also a Bar Council Representative of the Virginia State Bar’s 18th Judicial Circuit.
