A principal partner with the Family First Law Group, PLLC, Katelin Moomau offers experienced legal representation to people in Northern Virginia and throughout the state. Ms. Moomau's legal practice includes all aspects of family law including: adoption, step-parent adoption, relocation cases for military, Department of State and Department of Defense, divorce, no-fault divorce, custody, visitation, child support, spousal support, private representation in child protective services cases, mediation services, and collaborative divorce.

Ms. Moomau graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in political science from McDaniel College. She then attended The Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law, from which she graduated in 2008 with her Juris Doctor. She is admitted to practice law before all of the state courts of Virginia.

Following law school, Ms. Moomau worked as a litigation associate at Rich Rosenthal Brincefield Manitta Dzubin & Kroeger, LLP, allowing her to gain invaluable experience in courtrooms throughout Northern Virginia. She has substantial experience representing clients in the general district courts, circuit courts and juvenile and domestic relations courts. Ms. Moomau has been recognized for the quality of her work and was named as a Top 40 under 40 by the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce. 

Ms. Moomau is actively involved in her community and is a member of numerous professional organizations. She serves as the chair of the Alexandria City Bar Association's lawyer referral service and is an active member of the Alexandria, Fairfax County, and Virginia Bar Association as well as the Virginia Diversity Bar, the Virginia Women's Attorney's Association, and Equality Virginia. Ms. Moomau was the recipient of The Barbara Pratt Lee Heart of Gold Award from The Campagna Center and volunteers at the Fairfax Law Foundation. She has also taught continuing legal education classes to other attorneys on a variety of topics.
