Robert E. Byrne, Jr.

Robert "Bob" Byrne is Virginia's only Board Certified Truck Accident Attorney — a distinction earned through the National Board of Trial Advocacy that requires a specialized examination, demonstrated mastery of federal trucking regulations, and extensive commercial motor vehicle litigation experience. No other attorney in the Commonwealth holds this credential.

Bob represents catastrophically injured individuals and families throughout Virginia in truck accident, car accident, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and wrongful death cases. Based in Charlottesville, he and his wife and co-counsel Lauren Byrne try cases together as a husband-wife trial team — a combination that has produced some of Virginia's largest verdicts. Bob earned his B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and his J.D., cum laude, from Regent University School of Law, where he served as Chairman of the Moot Court Board. Following law school, he clerked for the Honorable D. Arthur Kelsey — now a Justice on the Supreme Court of Virginia.
