She has appeared on numerous occasions before many circuit courts throughout the Commonwealth, in addition to the Court of Appeals of Virginia, the Supreme Court of Virginia, the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control and the Virginia Department of Health Professions Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers.
Ms. Murphy is a member of the Order of the Barristers, the Virginia Bar Association (Wills, Trusts and Estates; Administrative Law; and Young Lawyers sections), the American Bar Association, the Virginia Women Attorneys Association, and the MSU-DC Alumni Association Executive Board. She is also a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, and has published several articles regarding estate law and other key practice areas she handles.
