Serving clients around Virginia, M. Barkley Horn is an empathetic and dedicated attorney handling cases in personal injury. Working from her office at Blankingship & Keith, P.C., in Fairfax, Virginia, she represents clients in matters of automobile and trucking accidents, brain injury, products liability, sex abuse and wrongful death, among others. She approaches each case diligently, ensuring her clients feel heard and provides strategic counsel to maximize their remuneration.
Pursuing her legal education after completing her undergraduate studies in history from The George Washington University, Ms. Horn honed her skills in litigation and developed a passion for advocating for those who have suffered injustices. She earned her Juris Doctor from George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School in 2021 and in the same year, was admitted to the Virginia State Bar. She first gained experience as an intern at the Fairfax County Circuit Court, where she observed court proceedings, wrote bench memorandums and conducted research for civil cases.
Currently, Ms. Horn approaches her practice with a deep passion for advocating for individuals who have been victims of someone else’s negligence. Additionally, she dedicates a significant part of her practice to combating institutional shortcomings that compromise safety and cause preventable harm. Recently she was a part of the counsel that won a $7 million settlement in a wrongful death case involving a construction site accident in which a ground-level worker was killed when a crowbar fell from more than 100 feet above.
Ms. Horn’s commitment to the field of personal injury has been lauded by her peers. She was recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Personal Injury Litigation-Plaintiffs in 2016.
