Michael A. Robinson

Michael A. Robinson is the founder of Robinson Law PLLC, in Fairfax, Virginia, where he is dedicated to providing accessible, effective and affordable legal services to clients throughout northern Virginia. He focuses his practice on criminal defense, DUI/DWI, juvenile defense, traffic violations and personal injury claims. 

Widely regarded for his skill, Mr. Robinson has built a strong reputation for achieving favorable outcomes, whether through negotiation or trial. His deep knowledge of Virginia law, combined with his meticulous preparation and persuasive advocacy, allows him to deliver outstanding results in even the most difficult cases. Mr. Robinson earned his Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law after completing his Bachelor of Science in political science at Radford University. He is an active member of the Fairfax Bar Association, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the National Academy of DUI Attorneys and The National College of DUI Defense.

Beginning his career as a prosecutor in Newport News, Mr. Robinson served on the Juvenile and Domestic Relations team. In that role, he handled nearly a thousand cases, ranging from minor infractions to serious felonies, and prosecuted matters in both the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court and the Circuit Court. He later served in Fauquier County, where he gained additional experience prosecuting cases across General District, Juvenile and Domestic Relations, and Circuit Courts. 

These years in prosecution gave Mr. Robinson unique insight into trial strategy and courtroom dynamics – experience he now leverages to build strong, proactive defenses for his clients. Drawing on his years as a prosecutor and private defense attorney, offers a seasoned perspective on the criminal justice system and advocates vigorously for individuals facing serious legal challenges.

Mr. Robinson is licensed to represent clients in both Virginia state and federal courts and has earned national recognition, including selection to the National Trial Lawyers’ “Top 100 Trial Lawyers” and “Top 40 Under 40” lists.
