Lily A. Saffer

With nearly 10 years of family legal experience, Lily A. Saffer serves clients in Falls Church, Virginia, as an attorney at the law firm of Maddox & Gerock, P.C. Clients rely on her services in matters involving contested and uncontested divorce, division of marital property and debts, child custody, support and visitation, domestic violence, protective orders, international family law cases, post-decree modifications, marital agreements and more.

A native of Seattle, Washington, Ms. Saffer went to Wellesley College, Massachusetts, to receive her Bachelor of Arts in political science and English in 2010. She then enrolled at the William & Mary Law School to pursue her legal education. She earned her Juris Doctor in 2013 and became authorized to practice law in all the state courts of Virginia the same year. 

Ms. Saffer served as a law clerk for Hon. Chief Judge Dennis Smith and the Hon. Penney Azcarate at the Fairfax County 19th Judicial Circuit Court for over two years. Furthermore, she gained extensive family legal experience by handling domestic and international family law issues as a faculty research assistant at the William & Mary Law School.

A talented and knowledgeable attorney capable of delivering the results her clients need, Ms. Saffer has litigated dozens of cases and secured favorable settlements and verdicts on their behalf. She stays upfront about what to expect during the whole process and keeps the lines of communication open with her clients at all times. 

With a passion for giving back to the community, Ms. Saffer comes forward to provide pro bono legal services to those in need. She was a board member of the Rotary Club of Fairfax and a part of the Fairfax Law Foundation’s Executive Committee. She also has experience serving low-income clients as a law clerk at the Virginia Legal Aid Society and the Legal Aid Justice Center.
