Barry J. Waldman

The owner of Waldman & Associates PLLC in Fredericksburg, Virginia, Barry J. Waldman serves as a skilled family law attorney for his clients, helping them with issues such as divorce, family law, and custody and visitation. Born into a navy family, discipline, hard work and good ethics were imbibed into him from an early period.

Mr. Waldman graduated in 1995 with a B.A. degree in History and Urban Planning from the University of Virginia. After working as an account manager for a major textile manufacturer and drastically improving sales, he enrolled at the University of Richmond School of Law. 

During his time in law school, Mr. Waldman served as the manuscript editor for the Richmond Journal of Law and Technology and published two scholarly articles as well. He was also the president of the American Bar Association’s Law Student Division and part of the university’s Moot Court Board. He graduated with his Juris Doctor in 1999. 

Mr. Waldman has handled many responsibilities within various legal organizations with great poise. Some of these positions included:

• 15th Judicial Circuit Bar Association: Former president
• Architectural Review Board of the City of Fredericksburg: Former chairman

Furthermore, he holds memberships in the Fredericksburg Area Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Virginia State Bar. He was a former chairman for the Commission on Children and the Law for the Virginia State Bar.
