Jan Hoen

Jan Hoen is the founder and lead attorney of Hampton Injury Law PLC, located in Hampton, Virginia, where he provides dedicated legal representation to individuals facing serious personal injury and workers’ compensation matters. With a practice focused on personal injury, workers’ compensation and catastrophic injuries, he advocates for clients facing legal challenges following accidents and life-altering events. 

Mr. Hoen has built a reputation for delivering attentive, results-driven counsel tailored to the unique circumstances of each case. He works closely with clients to help them understand their legal options and make informed decisions during what is often a difficult time. Whether handling straightforward claims or more complex litigation, he remains focused on achieving fair outcomes while providing steady guidance and clear communication.

Before starting his private practice, Mr. Hoen completed his undergraduate studies at Roanoke College in 1986, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond School of Law in 1989, where he developed the foundation for his legal career.

Admitted to practice law in Virginia in 1989, Mr. Hoen is also admitted before the Supreme Court of Virginia and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. He maintains active involvement in the legal community, including the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, where he serves on the board of governors.

Mr. Hoen is also a member of several professional organizations, including the Virginia State Bar, the Virginia Beach Bar Association, the Hampton Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice and the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys.
