Working from his office at Farr Law Firm, P.C., in Fairfax, Virginia, Evan H. Farr serves clients in elder law, estate planning and probate matters. With nearly four decades of experience in the legal sphere, he understands the anxiety of any client who is looking to protect his assets and his family’s future. Heeding the uncertainty, he approaches each case with empathy and compassion, ensuring his clients receive the reliable and personalized attention they deserve throughout the process. He also extends his services to clients across Washington, D.C., and Maryland.
Upon completing his undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Pennsylvania, Mr. Farr went on to receive his Juris Doctor from William & Mary Law School in 1987. In the same year, he was admitted to the Virginia State Bar. An active member of the legal community, he previously served as the president of the Virginia Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, chaired the Fairfax Bar Association’s Elder Law Section and served as co-chair of the association’s Wills, Trusts & Estates Section. He is also the founding chair of the Fairfax Bar Association’s Law Practice Management Section.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Farr has provided invaluable assistance to countless clients, guiding them through complex estate planning matters to ensure their wishes are honored and protected. In 1991, he founded his firm and entered the field of elder law, realizing without proactive planning for healthcare and extended care expenses, even the most thoughtfully structured estate can be rapidly depleted. Today, his practice seamlessly integrates traditional estate planning with long-term care asset protection and wealth preservation strategies to safeguard clients' legacies at every stage of life.
A reliable attorney, Mr. Farr is AV Preeminent* peer-review rated through Martindale-Hubbell. Also listed in Best Lawyers in America, he possesses high standards of professionalism and ethical standards. A charter member of the Academy of Special Needs Planners and a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys’ Council of Advanced Practitioners, he stays abreast of the latest developments in the field and ensures his clients high-quality services.
