As a partner at Beckman Schmalzle Georgelas & Ross, PLC, Ryan Schmalzle contributes a decade and a half of experience to the team. He primarily serves clients in matters related to estate planning, family law and criminal law in Maryland and Virginia. Over the years, his clients have relied on him to find practical solutions to the many complex legal matters they face.
Mr. Schmalzle completed his B.A. at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. He then obtained his law degree at the Antonin Scalia Law School, George Mason University, in Virginia. He graduated cum laude and served as the associate editor for the George Mason Law Review. He was first admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 2008 and has since become licensed to practice in the District of Columbia.
When Mr. Schmalzle attended law school, he served on George Mason’s Moot Court Board. He also taught legal research and writing to first-year law students as a Legal Writing Fellow. Years of practicing law have not put an end to his passion for teaching others. In fact, he serves as an adjunct professor at his former law school. After 14 years of serving clients in the Northeast in civil and criminal matters, he has developed a wide range of experience and a reputation for winning.
Mr. Schmalzle also maintains active memberships with the Maryland State Bar Association and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. Finally, he has also served as chairman of the board for the Loudoun Bar Foundation.
