Leonard guides executives and companies through business and employment law matters, including those involving the protection of trade secrets, interference with business relations, discrimination, union-related issues and wage and hour disputes. Mr. Leonard's experience includes defending and prosecuting a range of business litigation cases, assisting with transactional matters, and advising employers about employment relationships and regulations. Beyond his work in the courtroom, Mr. Leonard is actively involved in the legal community. He regularly lectures to business owners and other lawyers on business and employment-related topics. Mr. Leonard is currently serving as the chair of the Employment Law Section of the Fairfax Bar Association and is a member of the Arlington County Bar Association, the Northern Virginia Technology Council and the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Mary Washington, Mr. Leonard went on to attend the Antonin Scalia Law School, George Mason University. From there, he received a Juris Doctor in 1996. One of the few in the profession to do so, Mr. Leonard earned a Senior Professional in Human Resources certification from the HR Certification Institute in 2012.
