Leonard C. Heath, Jr. ("Len") was the 80th President of the Virginia State Bar in 2018-19. The Virginia State Bar is the agency of the Virginia Supreme Court that regulates the 32,000 licensed and in good standing lawyers in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He is a partner at Heath, Old & Verser, P.L.C., where he represents individual and business clients in a variety of areas including business litigation, personal injury claims (car, trucking, tractor trailer, and motorcycle accidents), traumatic brain injury cases, wrongful death cases, real estate litigation, and estate planning disputes (will, trust and estate litigation). Mr. Heath has handled cases across the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Admitted to practice in the state of Virginia, Mr. Heath is also admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. At the College of William and Mary, The Raymond A. Mason School of Business, Mr. Heath graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus in business management. He then moved on to the College of William and Mary, Marshall-Wythe School of Law, where he was an editor for the William and Mary Law Review and earned his Juris Doctor in 1986.

Mr. Heath has an Avvo “Superb” rating and is a Fellow of the Virginia Law Foundation and the Litigation Counsel of America. He is actively involved with many committees within the Virginia State Bar and the Newport News Bar Association and has served as president of both.
