Bill O’Mara started his legal career in 2008, moving back to his hometown of Chesapeake, VA. He has a B.A. from Dartmouth College and a J.D. from Washington and Lee University Law School. He has practiced in the field of plaintiffs’ personal injury law and other litigation. He has gained extensive courtroom and trial experience, including contested trials before judges and juries across Hampton Roads. In 2014, Bill O’Mara joined Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers as an associate attorney and became a partner in 2017.
Bill O'Mara now dedicates his entire practice to helping injured people. He heads up a dedicated premises liability team at Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers that helps people injured in slip and fall accidents, trampoline accidents and other accidents at stores, hotels, and restaurants. He specializes in car, truck, and motorcycle accidents, wrongful death and injuries at a business.
Bill O'Mara has successfully won numerous high-dollar settlements and jury verdicts on behalf of his clients. Plaintiff had planned to return to work once her daughter was older, but the injury would only permit her to resume work as an administrative nurse, rather than a floor nurse.
