Carol L. Ehlenberger

Carol L. Ehlenberger is a partner in the firm Hirsch & Ehlenberger, P.C., which has its offices in Reston, Virginia. With over 30 years of experience practicing law, she focuses her practice on family law matters, including divorce, separation agreements, child custody, child support, spousal support, property division, and pre- and postnuptial agreements.

Ms. Ehlenberger is a caring and understanding legal professional who understands the emotional toll that family law disputes may take. She takes the time to listen to her clients, offer wise advice, and guide them through the entire legal procedure. She fights hard for her clients' rights with dedication and tenacity.

A graduate of the Lehigh University, Ms. Ehlenberger has a Bachelor of Arts degree in social sciences. She decided to pursue her legal studies at the American University Washington College of Law and obtained her Juris Doctor in 1994. She received authorization to practice law in Virginia in 1997.

Ms. Ehlenberger maintains strong ties to prominent legal organizations, including membership in the Fairfax Bar Association’s Family Law Section and Domestic Relations Subcommittee, the Loudoun County Bar Association, and the Virginia State Bar’s Family Law Section.

Additionally, Ms. Ehlenberger serves as a neutral case evaluator at the Fairfax County Circuit Court. She has written extensively and co-authored a volume of the How the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act will Affect Family Law Cases Virginia Family Law Quarterly. She has also lectured at many continuing legal education seminars.
