Carole A. Rubin

Attorney Carole A. Rubin is a partner with the Grenadier, Duffett, Levi, Winkler & Rubin, P.C., law firm, which has offices in Reston and Alexandria, Virginia. Serving clients throughout Fairfax County and the surrounding Washington, D.C., Ms. Rubin focuses her practice solely on family law, and she has achieved notable success guiding and supporting families through some of the most difficult and emotional legal challenges they will ever face.

Throughout her career spanning more than 20 years, Ms. Rubin has earned a reputation as a compassionate lawyer to those she serves and provides invaluable advice to help her clients make the best-informed decisions about their matters involving child custody and support, spousal maintenance, stepparent adoptions, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, same-sex marriages, and paternity. She also provides exceptional counsel for cases involving business valuations, retirement and pension division, and other complex property issues.

A 1982 B.A. summa cum laude graduate of Connecticut College, Ms. Rubin earned her Master of Arts in law and diplomacy from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University in 1992. She obtained her Juris Doctor magna cum laude in 2005 from Washington College of Law at American University, where was inducted into the Order of the Coif.

Active in her legal community, Ms. Rubin is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Fairfax Bar Association, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the Virginia Women Attorneys Association.
