Abigail Paules

Aggressively defending the rights of the accused for nearly a decade, Abigail Paules is an attorney at the law firm Whaley Paules, LLC, located in Richmond, Virginia. Representing the people residing in and around the cities of Richmond and Petersburg, she takes on all types of criminal cases, including DUI, felonies, drug offenses, misdemeanors, weapon charges, drug trafficking and traffic offenses.

Majoring in history and political science, Ms. Paules received her undergraduate degree from Bucknell University. She joined the William & Mary Law School to pursue her legal education and earned her Juris Doctor in 2013. 

After graduating from law school, Ms. Paules started her career at the Richmond Public Defender’s Office, where she worked for almost six years and eventually earned the position of a senior assistant public defender. While working at the public defender's office, she handled a significant number of cases totaling almost two thousand and helped represent indigent clients facing criminal charges ranging from minor misdemeanors to serious offenses such as first-degree murder. 

Ms. Paules strongly believes that every person in the country should have access to quality legal representation, regardless of their background or financial situation. She is aware of the emotional toll that criminal charges can take on an individual and their family and always strives to put her best foot forward to get the charges reduced or dismissed by vigorously arguing on their behalf. She works closely with her clients and keeps them informed about any updates or developments in their cases.
