Ann Brakke Campfield is an attorney with the Barnes & Diehl, P.C., law firm, which has three office locations throughout the Greater Richmond, Virginia, area. Serving families throughout the region, Ms. Brakke Campfield devotes her practice to family law and helping her clients resolve their conflicts and reach agreements as efficiently as possible.

To that end, she offers highly effective collaborative law methods as an alternative to expensive and protracted courtroom battles. She understands that when couples are able to work together to find solutions for their matters involving child custody and support, property division, and other issues, they feel more empowered and are better able to address their matters in a way that works best for them and their situations.

A cum laude graduate of Stratford College in Danville, Ms. Brakke Campfield earned her Master of Arts in teaching from Lynchburg College. She then attended Washington and Lee University School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, in 1981, graduating Order of the Coif. She received her license to practice from the Virginia State Bar that same year.

Highly active in her legal community, she is a member of numerous local, state and national bar associations devoted to family law, collaborative law and mediation, including the Virginia State Bar Family Law Section and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. She has also held a number of leadership roles with the Metro Richmond Family Law Bar Association, including having once served as the organization's president.

Regarded as a leader in her field, she conducts lectures and continuing legal education training seminars before various professional legal organizations on effective collaborative law methods and other alternative dispute resolution techniques. She also writes extensively about a variety of subjects related to family law and divorce. Recognized for her service and professionalism, she has received a number of awards and honors, and The Best Lawyers in America has voted her among the top lawyers in family law since 2012.
