Robert L. Harris, Jr.

Robert L. Harris Jr. is an attorney with Barnes & Diehl, P.C., which has three office locations across the Greater Richmond, Virginia, metro region. A highly rated, award-winning trial lawyer with over 20 years of legal experience, Mr. Harris practices primarily in the areas of domestic relations and divorce, and he devotes his time and resources to helping his clients resolve their disputes and reach agreements that meet their specific needs and goals.

Early in his career, Mr. Harris handled a wide range of business law matters and commercial litigation involving shareholder disputes and other issues as well as personal injury law and other civil litigation. For the past 10 years, however, he has focused his practice on family law, and he draws on his business law experience to serve business owners and other professionals with their complex business valuations as they relate to divorce.

A 1984 graduate of William & Mary, Mr. Harris attended William & Mary Law School, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 1991. The Virginia State Bar admitted him to practice that same year, and he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a member of the Richmond Bar Association as well as the Virginia State Bar.
