Neal S. Johnson

Neal S. Johnson is the owner and manager of Johnson Law PLC, a Roanoke-based legal firm in Virginia. He is a proficient personal injury attorney serving clients in the metropolitan area of Roanoke, including Roanoke City, Roanoke County, the City of Salem, the Town of Vinton and Botetourt County, and in other Counties in Central and Southwest Virginia. He primarily focuses on advocating for those who have been wronged due to a negligent party. He takes on cases involving defective products, medical malpractice, wrongful death and serious automobile accidents.

With over 40 years of legal practice, Mr. Johnson also concentrates on representing individuals or businesses involved in complex commercial litigation. Additionally, he provides legal support for clients going through divorce proceedings and offers representation for individuals facing serious criminal charges, including capital murder.

Mr. Johnson works on matters related to various legal areas, notably employment and federal civil rights litigation under Title VII, § 1983, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act and the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA). After obtaining his bachelor's degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), Mr. Johnson pursued further education and achieved a master’s degree in administration from The George Washington University. In 1981, he successfully earned his J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law. He received his license to practice law in Virginia and was admitted before the federal, state and Supreme Court of Virginia, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Virginia, the Court of Appeals of Virginia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit.

Rated “Superb” on Avvo, Mr. Johnson was a member of the Board of Governors of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association from 1993 to 1998. He actively participates in various bar associations, including the American Association of of Justice, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, and the Virginia State Bar.
