Thomas H. Miller

Thomas H. Miller is a principal at Miller & Webb LLP, located in Roanoke, Virginia. He has developed a reputation as a skilled litigator during a distinguished legal career that has spanned more than three decades. Mr. Miller focuses his practice on the defense representation of insurance companies and self-insureds throughout the Central and Southwestern part of the state in workers' compensation matters, but he has also defended insurance companies in automobile, products liability and other personal injury matters.

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude from Hampden–Sydney College in 1982, Mr. Miller pursued his legal studies at the University of Virginia School of Law and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1985. He was a partner at Gentry Locke Rakes & Moore until joining his current firm in 2010. Admitted to practice in Virginia, Mr. Miller is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit. Highly regarded by his fellow professionals, he has received an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell. A member of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys, Mr. Miller has served as president and on the board of directors of the Roanoke Bar Association. He is also a trustee of the Roanoke Bar Foundation and a member of The Ted Dalton American Inn of Court.

In addition to appearing regularly before state and federal courts, Mr. Miller advocates on behalf of his clients before the Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission. Active in his community, he is a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Roanoke and has been involved with that organization since 1988.
