Mary Elaine Sirmans

Mary Elaine Sirmans is the managing attorney at Amaryllis Law in Salem, Virginia, where she practices immigration law. Her areas of competence include assisting victims through visa applications, facilitating family and marriage-based immigration, and defending clients against removal and deportation. Driven by the acute need for skilled immigration legal services in her region, she focused her career on this field during her legal studies.

A prominent summer internship with a law firm in the summer of 2020 deeply reinforced Ms. Sirmans’ dedication to immigration law. This pivotal experience helped shape her career trajectory. By January 2021, even as she was wrapping up her final year of law school, she had already taken on a full-time role at Amaryllis Law.

Originally hailing from South Georgia, Ms. Sirmans pursued her undergraduate studies at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Georgia, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in politics and modern cultures in 2017. She later attended Liberty University School of Law, earning her Juris Doctor in 2021. That same year, she was licensed in Virginia.

An active associate of the legal community, Ms. Sirmans is involved with the Federal Bar Association and contributes to its Immigration Law Section New Members Division Committee. Additionally, she is a member of the Virginia State Bar, which underscores her dedication and commitment to her legal practice. In 2023, the Immigration Law Section of the Federal Bar Association recognized her outstanding contributions to immigration law by awarding her the Younger Lawyer of the Year award. This accolade is a testament to her exceptional proficiency, allegiance and impact in the field.
