Aubrey Sizer

Aubrey Sizer is the founder and principal attorney at The Law Office of Aubrey Carew Sizer PLLC, located in Springfield, Virginia. Admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 2015, she focuses on estate planning and elder law, including:

·       Long-term care planning

·       Special needs planning for the disabled

·       Guardianship and conservatorship

·       Probate/estate and trust administration

Additionally, Ms. Sizer is qualified to act as a guardian ad litem for incapacitated individuals in Virginia. She is proficient in small business planning, limited domestic relations matters and select consumer law issues.

Ms. Sizer graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University in 2007 and a master’s degree from The George Washington University in 2010. She obtained her Juris Doctor from George Mason University School of Law in 2014. Her professional background comprises positions at the Department of Justice and a prominent global consulting firm. These experiences have equipped her with a broad understanding of various legal disciplines, enhancing her ability to deliver comprehensive legal services to individuals and families, particularly in estate and long-term care planning, as well as general legal advice on aging and disability.

Beyond her legal practice, Ms. Sizer actively participates in several professional organizations. She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Virginia Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Virginia State Bar (Trusts and Estates Section), the Alexandria Bar Association, the Fairfax County Bar Association (Wills, Trusts and Estates Section), the Prince William County Bar Association, the Northern Virginia Black Attorneys Association, the Virginia Women Attorneys Association, the Old Dominion Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Dedicated to community service, Ms. Sizer engages in various pro bono activities. She volunteers at the Northern Virginia Pro Bono Law Center – Wills on Wheels, the DC Volunteer Lawyers Project and the Legal Services of Northern Virginia – Consumer Law Clinic. Additionally, she is a skilled speaker and author, contributing her knowledge to further legal education and public awareness.
