A well-seasoned attorney in the field of litigation, Mikhael D. Charnoff functions as an attorney with the Vienna-based Charnoff Simpson PLLC in Virginia. With licenses to practice in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia, he has extensive experience working with a wide variety of practice areas, including commercial and civil litigation, and real estate disputes, along with professional liability defense and other business torts as well.
Representing scores of clients across industries including large and small businesses, Mr. Charnoff has also extended his services to real estate purchasers and sellers, and other professionals. Also accepted as an expert witness in state and federal courts in matters concerning his field of work, he has experience in conducting bench trials, arbitrations and licensure administrative hearings. In addition, he has also worked extensively on insurance coverage cases, involving construction accidents, legal malpractice and real estate liability coverages.
A native of Fairfax, Virginia, Mr. Charnoff obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from the University of Mary Washington in 1995. In 1999, he completed his law degree and secured his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law. Soon after, he clerked at the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, with the Honorable Judge Frank E. Schwelb and went on to work with other private firms, honing his skills in various fields of law.
Appearing for various clients in over 35 circuit courts throughout Virginia, Mr. Charnoff is also admitted to practice in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland and the Supreme Court of the U.S. Additionally, he is rated “Excellent” on Avvo and has close professional affiliations with:
