Anna Sas

Anna Sas is the founding principal of Sas Law, PLLC, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and has been a member of the Virginia State Bar since 1987. Over the past three decades, she has guided clients through all aspects of family law, including divorce, child and spousal support, separation and prenuptial agreements, equitable distribution and guardian ad litem matters. While adept at handling both straightforward and intricate cases, she places a special emphasis on safeguarding the emotional and financial welfare of children.

Known for her candid and transparent communication style, Ms. Sas does not sugar-coat potential outcomes. From the initial consultation to case resolution, she ensures clients are fully informed, comfortable asking questions and actively participating in shaping their legal strategies. Ms. Sas’s devotion to child well-being traces back to her undergraduate years at Johns Hopkins University, where she studied under Dr. Julian Stanley, a pioneer in the gifted education movement. Combining this foundation in child psychology, coaching and research with her legal competence, she strives not only for optimal courtroom results but also for healthy post-litigation adjustments. Her clients benefit from her holistic perspective, which balances rigorous advocacy with compassionate guidance.

After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Johns Hopkins University in 1984 and a Juris Doctor from George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School in 1987, Ms. Sas clerked for the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals. She then served as an associate at a leading Virginia firm focusing on construction and contract law, experience she still draws upon when advising clients in those areas.

A past co-chair of the Virginia Beach Bar Association’s CLASS Program and current member of the Virginia Bar/Circuit Court Committee, Ms. Sas also provides pro bono legal assistance to domestic violence survivors and presents continuing legal education seminars for attorneys and mental health professionals.
