Jonathan Young

Jonathan Young is the founding attorney of Tidewater Trial Lawyers P.C., a boutique litigation firm located in Tidewater, Virginia, where he focuses on complex civil litigation and contested real estate matters. With a solid foundation in handling a variety of real estate disputes, he adeptly manages cases related to contract enforcement, commercial lease issues and intricate title problems. His practice also extends to representing homeowners and builders facing construction and home improvement challenges. He extends his practice to the regions of Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Newport News.

In addition to his real estate and construction law practice, Mr. Young is proficient in representing contractors in regulatory disputes with the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR). His comprehensive experience in administrative law has enabled him to successfully reverse adverse board decisions, safeguarding the interests of his clients.

Mr. Young is a vigorous advocate in the circuit courts of all seven cities within the Tidewater region and is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. He is dedicated to personally overseeing each legal process, ensuring that every client receives meticulous and dedicated legal service.

Prior to founding his firm, Mr. Young interned for the Honorable Judge Barry G. Logsdon at Newport News Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court. During his internship, he gained valuable experience researching and drafting memorandums for cases involving contested custody, child support, domestic violence and juvenile crimes.

Mr. Young earned his Juris Doctor from Regent University School of Law, where he was the notes and comments editor of the Regent Journal of Global Justice and Public Policy and an active member of the Business and Transactional Law Society and Phi Alpha Delta. His advocacy skills were recognized early in his career, being named the Best Oralist at both the 2011 William Spong Moot Court Tournament and the 2012 J. Braxton Craven Memorial Moot Court Tournament. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication from Thomas Edison State University.
