Charles Asmar counsels clients in all aspects of the construction, development, and design processes involving government and private projects. He represents owners (private and public), general contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, sureties, subcontractors, and suppliers. He has been involved in a wide variety of large, complex construction projects, including commercial and governmental office buildings, embassies, private and public schools, hospitals, airports, large-scale residential and home-building projects, condominiums, and roads and highways.
Mr. Asmar has extensive experience preparing and negotiating design- and construction-related agreements. He prepares fully integrated project documents for the pre-construction, design, and construction processes (prime contractor and subcontractors). Mr. Asmar advises project owners and developers in bid solicitation and award in both private and public projects. He advises on advantages and risks of various project-delivery methods, including traditional general contract delivery, design build, multiple prime, construction management and subcontracts.  His practice includes oversight and advice relating to contract-administration issues throughout project delivery, claims development and defenses (including design defects, delay and labor impacts), mechanic’s lien and bond claims and defenses.
