Chun T. Wright is the founding attorney of the Law Office of Chun T. Wright, PLLC, in Washington, D.C. With more than 30 years of experience, she counsels U.S. and international clients on trademark and copyright protection, technology transactions, travel and transportation law, and commercial litigation. Moreover, she partners with businesses to assess risk, safeguard core assets and navigate complex challenges at the intersection of law, emerging technologies and corporate strategy.
A seasoned litigator and counselor, Ms. Wright provides senior-level guidance on high-impact decisions involving artificial intelligence and data-driven platforms, blockchain, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation and contractual matters in the travel and logistics sectors. Her comprehensive approach helps clients anticipate enforcement actions, structure deals and respond swiftly to disputes.
Ms. Wright earned her J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law, where she served as executive editor of the California Law Review and received a moot court commendation for outstanding written advocacy. She also holds a B.B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin. She began her legal career clerking for the Honorable Emilio M. Garza on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit. She then joined a global San Francisco firm as a litigation associate, handling intellectual property and employment disputes as well as media defamation matters during the dawn of online content regulation.
As an assistant U.S. attorney in the District of Columbia, Ms. Wright tried 36 criminal cases to verdict before judges and juries and argued 13 appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. That trial and appellate experience continues to inform her strategic approach to enforcement and dispute assessment.
Returning to private practice, Ms. Wright helped establish Menlo Park and San Francisco offices of a leading international firm, representing technology startups and media businesses on IP protection, privacy, content regulation, data collection and online reputation management.
Later, as vice president of Anti-Piracy Legal Affairs at the Entertainment Software Association, Ms. Wright directed global litigation, enforcement and policy initiatives against video game piracy. Additionally, she currently chairs the International Trademark Association’s Enforcement Committee for the 2026–2027 term.
