Craig A. Platt is the co-founder and managing partner of Platt, Thompson and Buescher, Attorneys at Law, based in Coupeville and Seattle, Washington. Majoring in psychology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Mr. Platt earned his undergraduate degree summa cum laude in 1978. He got his law degree from Stanford Law School and was admitted to practice in Washington in 1982 and later in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. Trilingual in English, Spanish and German, he assists a diverse range of clients with various issues, such as felonies, misdemeanors and protection orders.

Before founding his law firm, Mr. Platt gained experience as a public defender, resolving several complex trial cases, involving international investigations into corruption and organized crime. Prior to that, he worked in London, England, assisting with major felony cases in the Old Bailey and the Royal Courts of Justice. During his stint as a public prosecutor, he also taught criminal procedure and constitutional law at the police academy. His impeccable courtroom demeanor and intense litigation skills have been lauded by many, testifying to which are many positive client reviews and peer endorsements.

For his exceptional legal services, Mr. Platt has been recognized with a “Superb” Avvo rating and he has been honored with the Distinguished Service Award by the Washington Defender Association for the many seminars he has conducted.
