Erica Matson started her family law practice with a pro bono Domestic Violence Protection Order case and has been practicing family law full time since 2016. She has been certified as a mediator and approaches all of her cases with an eye towards creative conflict resolution. Mrs. Matson focuses her practice on divorces, parenting plans, child support, de facto parentage, DVPOs, restraining orders, and relocation actions. She does pro bono work on a limited number of immigration/asylum cases and takes a limited number of moderate means or pro bono family law cases.
Mrs. Matson graduated from the University of Michigan Law School with a dual JD and M.A. in Chinese Studies. After law school she took a fellowship with Northwest Immigrant Rights Project focusing primarily on providing assistance to survivors of human trafficking at the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma.
