Before joining Cowan Kirk Kattenhorn in 2015, he served as a public defender for many Puget Sound municipalities.
Active in various legal and DUI-related organizations, Mr. Kattenhorn is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National College for DUI Defense. He participates in the legal writing program and serves as a mock trial judge at Seattle University School of Law.
Mr. Kattenhorn enjoys volunteering his time and is involved with the Human Rights Campaign. He is originally from Kirkland, Washington, and is a former member of the Kirkland Youth Council and played a role in building the Kirkland Teen Center.
Mr. Kattenhorn received a bachelor’s degree in communications from Seattle Pacific University. While attending undergraduate school, he was a part of many humanitarian projects that required traveling to countries such as Albania and Indonesia. He went on to earn his law degree from Seattle University School of Law and obtained his law license in 2009. He is qualified to practice in all Washington state courts.
