The founder of Cultiva Law PLLC, Aaron A. Pelley has been on the leading edge of cannabis law for more than a decade and has helped build the foundation for legal protections for his clients in the states of Washington, California and Oregon. Through his boutique law practice, Mr. Pelley offers dedicated advocacy to help advance the legitimate interests of medical and recreational cannabis businesses.
Mr. Pelley graduated with his Bachelor of Arts from Willamette University before pursuing his legal education at the Willamette University College of Law. He graduated with his Juris Doctor and was admitted to practice law in Washington in 2007.
Following his graduation, Mr. Pelley quickly established himself as an attorney at the forefront of cannabis law. He has earned awards and recognition for his work. Mr. Pelley has been named to the Top 100 Trial Lawyers by The National Trial Lawyers every year since 2014. Metropolitan Magazine named him to its Top Attorneys in Washington list in 2014 and as a Top Attorney in 2017. In 2019, mg Magazine named him to the Top Cannabis Trial Attorneys list.
Mr. Pelley is actively involved in multiple professional organizations. He has served as a member of the legal committee for the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws since 2008. He is also a member of the National Cannabis Bar Association and served on the advisory committee of the American Bar Association from 2004 to 2009. A sought-after speaker in the area of cannabis law, Mr. Pelley has presented at numerous conferences throughout the U.S. He is also a published author with works appearing in multiple publications about different aspects of marijuana law.
