Attorney Profile

A partner at Nelson Langer Engle, PLLC, Aaron I. Engle handles a variety of matters for his clients in Washington state. Located in Seattle, he focuses his practice primarily on insurance law, representing policyholders whose claims have been delayed or denied by their insurance companies, sometimes in bad faith. Mr. Engle has successfully challenged the denial of long-term disability benefits claims on several occasions.

Mr. Engle also has a personal injury and wrongful death litigation practice, in which he assists plaintiffs who have been harmed by the negligence of other people or entities. In this regard, his experience encompasses cases arising out of motor vehicle collisions, premises liability and workplace accidents. Many of his clients have suffered brain injuries as a result of car crashes or slips and falls, and he brought that experience to bear when he served as a member of the board of directors of the Brain Injury Alliance of Washington.

A native of Washington, Mr. Engle attended the University of Washington as an undergraduate, where he majored in history and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 1998. Some years later, he decided to pursue a legal education and enrolled at Seattle University School of Law. Mr. Engle was awarded his Juris Doctor cum laude in 2006. While in law school, he clerked for the predecessor of his current firm.

Mr. Engle is admitted to practice before all Washington state courts, and he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington. His professional memberships include the Washington State Association for Justice and the King County Bar Association. When not assisting clients, Mr. Engle enjoys biking and CrossFit workouts.
