Details

Angela specializes in estate planning, special needs trusts, and planning for long-term care and disability benefits.  Her clients range in age from the very young to those in their 90’s and beyond. 

Prior to joining STIB, Angela was a registered nurse and a litigation attorney.  She joined the firm in order to work with Barbara Isenhour and Sean Bleck, both leaders in the field with decades of experience advising seniors and disabled individuals. Now a Member of the firm, Angela works to continue the firm’s tradition of competent and compassionate representation for every client at every stage of life.

Angela is also a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law at the Seattle University School of Law, where she teaches the Estate and Disability Planning Clinic and has taught Trusts and Estates.  She is a frequent guest lecturer and presenter for law students and attorneys.

In addition to her practice and teaching, Angela serves on the Executive Committee of the Washington State Bar Association’s Elder Law Section, and on the board of the Washington Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.  She is also on the Advisor Committee for the King County Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program, and was herself a volunteer ombudsman in long-term care facilities before becoming a lawyer.  She is a former Board member of the Washington Association for Justice and the King County Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Division Board of Trustees.  Angela also speaks upon request at local senior centers and low-income housing events for seniors.

Angela is peer-rated AV (Preeminent) by Martindale-Hubble and is rated 10/Superb on Avvo.com.  She is a 2017-2022 “Super Lawyer."  She was the 2010 recipient of the Washington Association for Justice “Outstanding New Lawyer” Award, for her work representing clients in medical negligence claims.
