Brian Edwards

Attorney Brian Edwards is a partner at McKinley Irvin in Seattle, Washington. Focusing on family law, he offers legal services to individuals and families in the Seattle, Bellevue, Everett and Kirkland areas. His practice areas include child custody, child support, divorce proceedings, domestic violence cases, legal separation, LGBT family law issues, relocation matters and legal concerns for unmarried couples.

Moreover, Mr. Edwards has extensive skill in trial settings, paying attention to cases involving nonparental custody and de facto parentage matters. His greatest satisfaction comes from making a positive impact on children's lives. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from UC Santa Barbara in 2004, Mr. Edwards attended Seattle University School of Law. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree and his license to practice law in Washington in 2012. Furthermore, he has a master's degree in clinical psychology from Argosy University.

Currently acting as the Young Lawyer Division Liaison to the Family Law Section of the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA), Mr. Edwards also continues his membership in the Young Lawyers Division of the King County Bar Association. Moreover, he imparts his knowledge as an adjunct professor at Seattle University School of Law. In addition to his professional endeavors, he volunteers with the Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA) of King County. He also spends his time at the Seattle Humane Society.
