Brooks Lindsay

Brooks Lindsay is the founding attorney of Light Legal PLLC, a Seattle, Washington-based firm serving the legal needs of entrepreneurs, emerging companies and technology innovators. As a corporate and commercial contracts lawyer, he combines business insight with legal experience to guide clients through transactions, compliance matters and strategic growth opportunities. His work covers technology agreements, intellectual property protection, website and data privacy compliance, entity structuring, financing, mergers and acquisitions, employment issues, and other challenges common to rapidly scaling organizations.

Known for his ability to act as outside general counsel, Mr. Lindsay coordinates across multiple practice areas to deliver cohesive, practical solutions. Drawing on his combined legal, business and entrepreneurial background, he seeks to streamline processes, control expenses and accelerate results. He actively incorporates cutting-edge AI tools to provide efficient, high-quality service. 

Prior to establishing Light Legal PLLC, Mr. Lindsay practiced at leading Seattle law firms, representing startups and technology-driven enterprises. He earned a B.A. from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, followed by both a J.D. and an M.B.A. from the University of Washington. Before entering law, he founded Debatepedia, an online encyclopedia of debates. He is an active member of the Washington State Bar Association.
