Bruce R. Moen

Bruce R. Moen, of Seattle law firm Moen Law Offices, PS, handles all aspects of estate administration. He has received more than 100 court appointments as guardian or trustee in litigated and difficult administration cases, and approximately 200 more appointments as guardian ad litem. His extensive experience includes estate and trust litigation, estate planning, probate administration and guardianship law. With clients ranging from individual and family estates to businesses, fiduciaries and complex estates, Mr. Moen accepts cases throughout Washington.

Mr. Moen has particular skill in litigating complicated estate matters, including will contests, contested creditor claims, recovery of assets, tax matters, insolvent estates, contested heirship and breaches of fiduciary duty.

After receiving his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington in 1967, Mr. Moen earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Oregon in 1975. He is admitted to practice law in Washington state and before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.

Mr. Moen's experience has given him many opportunities for leadership. He has lectured on trusts and estates, and has written chapters on guardianship litigation for the Washington State Bar Association's Deskbook on family law. The Washington Supreme Court has quoted him as a commentator, while the Washington Court of Appeals has quoted him as an expert in estate law. Mr. Moen's high ethical standards have resulted in the highest rating of AV-Preeminent* from Martindale-Hubbell. He is an active member of the American Bar Association and the Washington State Bar Association.
